Brief Description

The Tucker’s home caught fire this past winter, but most of the house was not burned.  Many items from the home were moved to storage and are dirty from soot.  In addition, there are 2 yard barns and a 3 car garage full that weren’t damaged.

Auction Schedule

Live On-Site Auction

Began: Sunday, July 19, 2020 at 1:00 PM EDT

Location: 304 11th St. NW, Linton, IN 47441

Everything is currently “packed” into garages and storage units.  Due to the storage situation, we could only get a few pictures.  We were climbing over what we could to get a glimpse of what was there. With nowhere to sort the items until close to auction day, we are doing our best to give you a good idea of what we will be selling. There is lots of shade at this auction site.  Bring your lawn chair.  Come expecting surprises.

Mrs. Tucker liked to decorate her home for every holiday and every occasion, and add to her everyday decor regularly.  Her preferred decorating style would be classified as Modern Farmhouse or Americana.  We are offering at auction literally hundreds of decorator pieces.  Some of these pieces are unused, still with tags or packaging, that were stored in the garage and were not damaged.  Many of these items were in the house and may need the smoke soot cleaned off them.  Decorator pieces will include signs, pictures, baskets, pottery, glass, soft goods, whimsical figures and many nature themed items.

The Tucker’s also had many authentic antique decorator pieces in their home.  Some that we could see include a wood, horizontal butter churn; spinning wheel; child’s scooter; Disney Learn-to-Count framed poster; wooden tooth rake; big, wood carpenter’s box; wash boiler, wire wash tub holder on castors; Schwinn bicycle; baby buggy; baby dolls.

The selection of furniture includes a mix of modern, antique and modern-made-to-look antique. Pieces include wooden straight back & rocking chairs; oak tables; large roll top desk; butcher’s block table; small wine refrigerator; many kitchen cupboards; pie safes; vegetable bins; wood high chair; bedroom suites; thread cabinet; wardrobe; coffee & end tables.  Most of the furniture was in the house and has a coating of smoke soot.  This should come off with a little effort.  If you are looking for refinishing projects, this offering is a furniture refinishers dream come true.

Other items being offered come from the yard and garage and include an outdoor patio bar with stools; porch & patio furniture; large, cantilever patio umbrella; Kenmore gas grill; 9′ market umbrella; Craftsman & Troy Built self-propelled walk behind mowers; string trimmers; Worx blower; pressure washer; step ladders; draftsman’s table; lots of flower gardening supplies; hand & long handled tools.
